- So this is one of those things I will fill out a bit later......But just to set the record straight...
I am a husband of over 10 years, a dad to 3 inspiring boys, and hopefully a good friend. Photography is what I was meant to do. It is in my bones, when I travel about I can't help but look for cool locations. When I see a person I always seem to have a camera in my head wondering what would be the right angle. Being a wedding photographer is a great life - thank you. Is this too sappy? Like I said - I will fill it out some more later...

I was beyond thrilled when Laurie and Jared asked me to photograph their wedding at the very cool Drake Hotel. I knew we would be able to get some amazing images. The uber talented Wedding Planner Kara Greenwood made sure all the details were taken care of and really helped make the day go so smoothly..
I love how Jared looked at Laurie. You could really see how much he loved her. And Laurie’s retro look was perfect for her. I could have photographed these two forever.

This might just be my favorite image. The color is beautiful, the light adds so much emotion but most importantly the image is about “feeling”. We can’t really see Laurie’s face well but we sense a lot. Feeling is better than seeing….

Wicked fun, supper cool couple and pictures at the Gladstone hotel. Yep sounds like a great wedding day!

If I were to do it all over again I would hope to have as much fun at my wedding as Julie & Samir did at theirs. Sure the day started out fairly quiet but wow did things kick into high gear quickly. It just seemed everywhere we went people were getting into the spirit of what a wedding can be; a celebration of love, family and friends. These guys had me laughing so much it was hard not to join them in the party!

One of my wedding clients asked me how many weddings I had photographed this year? And it made me think, I have been posting all these engagement sessions but not a lot of weddings…. Trust me there are a lot of weddings to be posted still, they just take me a lot longer. The control freak in me just can’t get through a wedding without putting a lot of thought into it. So…. As time is pretty tight right now we get these amazing engagement sessions. I absolutely love shooting these.
I think its pretty clear from the images - photographing Sabrina and Elvis was a lot of fun!

Anna-Maria and Martin could not have found a better location for their engagement session - her family home. One word - amazing. But looking over the images again I was reminded that “light” and “passion” are still the most important ingredients for great images.

And let me present Johnny and Lisa…. We got a late start but that just meant we made some stunning evening images…..

Whats this you ask? The couple are in there I promise, can you find them? I love this image….

Today’s date is September 6, 2011. I realized today that there are really only 2 types of photographs. One, photographs that are about the photographer and two, photographs that are about the people being photographed. I make the second type of photograph, its what comes naturally to me. These images are not always perfect, because people are not always perfect. What they do very well though is show that magic spark that makes us all unique and special and beautiful.
With Suzy and Chris I am over whelmed by the “joy of life” feeling i get when I look at their images….

Remember Amy and Dave’s engagement a few months ago? I knew after the eng session that Amy and Dave’s wedding would be amazing. I was even more certain because the wonderful wedding planner, Wendy from Asian Fusion Weddings was helping out.

Wendy with the wonderful couple had a brilliant vision for the decour.

I am back! After 3 weeks away with family I came home to a very busy schedule but have no fear the posts are coming back. For now a teaser from Diana’s and PJ’s amazing wedding. One word PARTY.
